The Cambridge Humanities & Education Foundation of Minnesota (CHEF) is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to providing services and support for communities in Minnesota and around the world. As an umbrella organization, CHEF provides infrastructure for its member organizations, enabling them to concentrate on executing their individual missions. The current divisions of CHEF are; The Cambridge Surplus Food Distribution (CSFD), Promote Prosperity Now (PPN) and The Cambridge Center for the Arts (CCFA).

The Cambridge Surplus Food Distribution is a partnership with Second Harvest Heartland that aims to end hunger in our community, by distributing surplus food, such as over stocked, close-dated or bulk items to individuals and families who are in crisis or who’s income does not exceed federal poverty guidelines.
Promote Prosperity Now helps the impoverished people of Malawi, Africa move from poverty to prosperity, through improving vocational opportunities, education, and nutrition.
The Cambridge Center For The Arts makes the arts available to the community by offering a variety of art and music lessons for all ages, writing and photography groups, concerts, performances, nordic culture events, and fine art exhibitions, as well as the Play Inc Winter Community Theater and The Summer Youth Theatre Program

Join others from the community on a bus trip to the Guthrie Theater to A Christmas Carol. For more than 35 years audiences have treasured the Guthrie’s A Christmas Carol, making it a tradition not to be missed. Last season the Guthrie debuted a fresh take on Dickens’ ghost story, featuring a new adaptation by British playwright Crispin Whittell, a dazzling set and costumes, beautiful music, and fantastical aerial effects. The Star Tribune raved “I welcome the new energy and sharpness that Dowling, Whittell and the fine cast have brought to this Carol. They have vividly remade a classic.” Don’t miss your chance to share this holiday favorite with your whole family, an experience they will remember for years to come.

Bus Trip to the Guthrie to see H.M.S Pinafore

The Cambridge Center for The Arts is excited to have so many attending the bus trip to the Guthrie Theater to see Gilbert and Sullivan’s first blockbuster, H.M.S Pinafore on Wednesday, August 10th. This play is among the most crowd-pleasing comic musicals in history, loved for its dynamite songs, gleefully entertaining story and saucy satire. It is filled with Sullivan’s memorable melodies – infused with fresh musical arrangements ranging from big band swing to classic pop.

The coach Bus will be departing from 621 Old North Main St. North at 6pm and returns at approximately 11pm.
