The Cambridge Humanities & Education Foundation of Minnesota (CHEF) is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to providing services and support for communities in Minnesota and around the world. As an umbrella organization, CHEF provides infrastructure for its member organizations, enabling them to concentrate on executing their individual missions. The current divisions of CHEF are; The Cambridge Surplus Food Distribution (CSFD), Promote Prosperity Now (PPN) and The Cambridge Center for the Arts (CCFA).
The Cambridge Surplus Food Distribution is a partnership with Second Harvest Heartland that aims to end hunger in our community, by distributing surplus food, such as over stocked, close-dated or bulk items to individuals and families who are in crisis or who’s income does not exceed federal poverty guidelines.
Promote Prosperity Now helps the impoverished people of Malawi, Africa move from poverty to prosperity, through improving vocational opportunities, education, and nutrition.
The Cambridge Center For The Arts makes the arts available to the community by offering a variety of art and music lessons for all ages, writing and photography groups, concerts, performances, nordic culture events, and fine art exhibitions, as well as the Play Inc Winter Community Theater and The Summer Youth Theatre Program
